Consistent results, reliable service

This wasn't my first time using TTSOpenAI; I've been back a few times now for e-learning voiceovers. They're consistently reliable. The neural text to speech is always high quality, and the batch processing feature saves me a ton of time, just like it did on my last order. Customer support was quick to respond when I had a small question about an invoice, which was appreciated. I appreciate that I can depend on them for my projects.

Easy and sounds great!

I just tried out the character voices for my podcast narration and wow, so easy! The female AI voices are super clear. I'm definitely going to use this for all my future episodes. Getting the MP3 export was quick too. I've told my co-host about it already, she's going to love it. Will definitely be subscribing for another year!

Decent for YouTube, some quirks

I used TTSOpenAI to make some voiceovers for my YouTube videos, mainly for the female AI voices. It was pretty straightforward to get my scripts converted, and the voices actually sounded pretty good, not too robotic. I tried out the podcast voiceover option, too. The only thing is that adjusting the pitch took a little bit of fiddling to get it just right, but overall, it got the job done for what I needed.

Good quality, minor hiccup

I purchased an annual plan for the text to speech converter and overall, it's been quite good. The multi-language TTS feature works surprisingly well, I used it for a short e-learning voiceover project and the male AI voices sound very natural. The speed control and pitch adjustment were useful for fine-tuning. My only small issue was with exporting. The MP3 export was quick, but when I tried WAV, it took a bit longer than I expected for a large batch, almost 8 minutes for about an hour of audio. Support answered my query about it in a few hours, explaining it's due to file size. Still, the quality is definitely there.

Good for podcast narration

I used TTSOpenAI for a podcast narration project. The female AI voices were quite good and natural-sounding for the most part. MP3 export worked flawlessly. My main gripe is that the pitch adjustment could be more intuitive; it took a bit of fiddling to get it just right. Overall, a solid tool for content creators, and the commercial usage rights are a big plus.

Worked well for my project

Needed some voices for a YouTube narration. Used the realistic AI voices, and they sounded pretty good. The cloud storage for audio was handy. Had a small question about the SSML support, but figured it out. Fast to get my files.

Decent value on annual plan

I needed an AI voice generator for a YouTube narration, so I checked out TTSOpenAI. I saw they had an annual plan discount, which made it a much better deal than paying monthly. The free trial let me test out the realistic AI voices before committing, which was super helpful. I saved about 20% compared to the monthly cost, and the quality of the male AI voices was good for my needs. It felt worth the investment for the year, though I wish there were more options for child AI voices.

Detailed thoughts on my experience

I decided to try TTSOpenAI for some character voices for an IVR system I was building. The ordering process for credits was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear pricing structure. The platform's interface for the text to speech converter was user-friendly, and I could easily adjust speed and pitch. The multilingual TTS feature was a pleasant surprise; I tested it with a few phrases in Spanish, and it sounded quite good. I downloaded the audio in WAV format without any issues. Delivery was instant once the conversion was done, which is always nice. My only minor complaint is that the 'emotional voice synthesis' could be more nuanced; some emotions felt a bit overstated. But for general professional use, it's quite effective. The developer documentation also looked comprehensive, though I didn't need to dive deep into the API this time around. Good platform overall.

Hey everyone, thinking about signing up for TTSOpenAI. Does anyone know if their voices are actually good for YouTube videos? Like, not super robotic?

D Donna T. 1 month ago
Yeah totally, I use it for my explainer videos and it sounds really natural. Way better than some others I tried before.

B Brittany D. 1 month ago
Honestly, it depends on the voice you pick. Some are definitely more natural than others, but overall it's pretty impressive. Especially the newer ones.

I'm a student, do they offer any kind of student discount? Or is it just the regular pricing?

H Hannah Wright 1 month ago
Not that I've seen. Their main discounts are for annual plans or if you buy a bunch of credits.

G Grace H. 1 month ago
I don't recall seeing a student discount specifically, but it's worth checking their site or support. Sometimes those aren't advertised super widely.

Considering TTSOpenAI but also looking at Murf AI. Anyone used both and have thoughts on which is better, especially for like, podcast narration?

L Lisa Garcia 1 month ago
I switched from Murf to TTSOpenAI. The voice cloning here is much better IMO, and the emotional range feels a bit more nuanced for longer scripts like podcasts.

A Amanda Scott 1 month ago
Hmm, I haven't used Murf much, but TTSOpenAI has been solid for my podcast. Their male voices especially are really good.

Hey, thinking about trying this out for YouTube. Are the voices actually good, like not robotic at all?

P Paul H. 1 month ago
Yeah, they're pretty good. I use them for my TikToks and people actually ask if it's a real person sometimes. The emotional ones are cool.

N Nick Hernandez 1 month ago
Honestly, some of them are super realistic, especially if you play with the pitch and speed. Way better than those old Google Translate voices, lol.

Just signed up and got some free credits. Is there usually a promo code I should be looking for to get more, or does the free trial cover most of that?

J Jacob S. 3 weeks ago
They usually give you free credits when you sign up. For discounts, it's more about the annual plan or special sales like Black Friday.
0
S Sam N. 2 weeks ago
I think they just give you the initial credits. Most of their discounts are automatic if you go for a yearly subscription, not really a 'promo code' type of thing.

Quick question, if I want to use the voices for a commercial project, like an ad, is that okay with TTSOpenAI or do I need a special license?

J Jennifer 1 month ago
Nah, you're good. Commercial use is included with their plans. Just read their terms to be sure you're not doing anything weird, but standard stuff is fine.
6
D Danielle 1 month ago
Yeah, I use it for client work all the time. It's one of the reasons I went with them, no extra hoops to jump through for commercial rights.

how many different languages do they support for the text to speech? Need something for a project in Spanish and German.

L Lisa Torres 1 month ago
They have a ton of languages. I've used it for Spanish and it was good. German should be there too.

S Sandra Moore 1 month ago
Multi-language support is one of their strong suits. Pretty sure Spanish and German are both covered.

What's the deal with downloading audio? Can I get it as an MP3 or only WAV?

A Amanda T. 1 month ago
You can download as both MP3 and WAV, so you have options depending on what you need.
5
J Joseph Nguyen 1 month ago
Yep, MP3 and WAV are both there. Super handy for different projects.
